A life-long learner and explorer, Frank had a deep passion, curiosity and sense of adventure for: travel, gardening, bird-watching, history, politics, reading, volunteer and community service, and philanthropy. An educator at heart, Frank was known for his thoughtful engaging conversation and sense of humour, particularly at a lively dinner party. He was also known for his kindness and generosity, and his commitment to community.
He had so many fond memories of his 35 years working and raising his children with Tessie on the Burin Peninsula, and in his retirement, enjoying his time with his family friends and fellow Rotarians in both St. John’s and the Philippines. Frank was deeply rooted in his Catholic faith, and his love of his family – especially his wife Tessie, children and grandchildren – came above all.
The family would like to thank Frank’s siblings, families and friends for their unceasing support throughout his illness, as well as the wonderful staff of Eastern Health and Tiffany Village. He often remarked on how well cared-for he felt throughout his illness.
