Obituary of Eleanor June Daniel
On Wednesday, September 18th in her 90th year. Eleanor June Daniel (Wardell) departed this world on her own terms with the assistance of Dr. James MacLean and the MAID program. Eleanor had been well and active until her fall in August, leaving her with excruciating and debilitating pain. She was predeceased be her husband Ken (September 16, 1994) and her youngest son Jim (September 27, 2010). Much loved mother of John and Lisa of Burlington; Catherine and Tom Woodiwiss of Strathroy; Joan Daniel of London; Carol Santander of London and daughter in-law Marlo of Smith Falls. Grandmother of Kristie Daniel, Greg and Jessie Daniel, Warren and Rita Woodiwiss, Brodie Woodiwiss, Emily and Cole Vegso, Madison Daniel and Sadie Daniel. Great Grannie to Lily and Logan Woodiwiss, Ceredwin Daniel and Sullivan Vegso.
The family wishes to express many thanks to Dr. Buma for his continued and compassionate care; Dr James MacLean and MAID for giving mom a peaceful and dignified exit from this world and into the next; 2nd floor staff at Strathroy Hospital; the staff at Middle Terrace.
Friends and family will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Sunday September 22nd , 2019 from 3:00-6:00pm with a funeral service to follow.
