Eileen Brooks was promoted to Glory on September 27th at the age of 101.
Eileen was born on August 14, 1918, at the family farm in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan to Frank and Bella Martin. Her brothers were Gordon and Harold, and her younger sister was Vera.
Eileen received Jesus as her Lord and Saviour at the age of 16 and was thankful for His love to the end.
She married Norman John Payne and moved to Toronto in 1951 and enjoyed 25 years of married life. After she was widowed, she married Nelson Brooks in 1977 and acquired an instant family of 4 children, 8 grandchildren and now has grown to 29 great-grandchildren.
Eileen expressed many times over the last few months, how much she appreciated and was thankful for her special care givers. The family joins in thanking all involved in looking after her at Bethany Courts and then at Sunrise. God bless you all for your loving care.
