Darrell Hughes
1940-2019
With heavy hearts, the family of Darrell Hughes, husband of
the late Donna Hughes, of Searsville, NB, announces his death which
occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Sus Health Centre.
Born on August 14, 1940, in Cambridge, NB, he was the son of the late
Carey and Alice (Branscombe) Hughes.
Darrell is survived by his sons: Lee (Hugh) Hughes of
Phoenix, AZ, Hugh and Wanda Hughes of Norton, NB and Shaun Hughes of
Searsville, NB; daughter Alice and Randy Parks of Searsville, NB;
grandchildren: Ben, Corey, Declen, Ned, Ken, Emily and Cody; brother
David and Judy Hughes; sisters: Jean and Byron Ostrom and Joyce Gero;
as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Darrell
was predeceased by his loving wife Donna in 2015; and sister Anna
Hughes.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home & Life Tribute Centre, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, where visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A celebration of Darrell’s life
will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00am from
Sherwood’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in
Second Cambridge Baptist Cemetery, Cambridge-Narrows,
NB.
Donations in memory of Darrell may be made to the Heart
& Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Hemophilia Society NB
Chapter or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated. Condolences to the family may be made through
