Memorial Donation
On Monday, August 26, 2019 a quiet and gentle soul moved from this world to the next. It is with incredible sadness and heavy hearts that the family of William (Fred) White announce his peaceful passing at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB, surrounded by his devoted family.
Fred was born in Stephenville, NL on July 20, 1936 and lived his entire life on O’Brien’s Drive until last year when he moved to Oromocto, NB to live with his daughter, Melanie and her family.
Fred was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy in 2017, his parents, John and Mary White and his sister, Bernadette Edris. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his five daughters, Jeanette (Todd) Flynn, Cochrane AB; Jacqueline Pidskalny, Kingston, ON; Vivienne White, Kippens, NL; Doreen (Bruce) Spicer, Sydney, NS; and Melanie (Martin) Blanchard, Oromocto, NB; his eight grandchildren, Alexandra (Chris) Keough, Kelsey & Kyra Flynn, Marc & Thomas Surette, Cameron & Emma Blanchard and Kaelan Pidskalny as well as his two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Palmer Keough. Also leaving to mourn are his brothers, Armand (Juanita), Thomas (Margie), and Nick, and his sisters, Ethel (Gil) Scott and Norma Tucker as well as many relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place and visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday September 1st, 2019 from 7-9 pm at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive. Funeral service will be held on Monday September 2nd, 2019 at 10 am at St. Stephen’s Parish, 78 West Street. Interment will follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery.
Flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
