Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s hospital on August, 22, 2019.
Loving Husband of Leniss (Lee) for 68 years. Devoted Father of Rick (Tammy) & Donna. Cherished Grandfather of Jenna Anthony, Brent Anthony, Emma Anthony, Marshall Anthony, Jacklyn Heimpel, Stephanie Heimpel and the late Jacob Heimpel. Great-Grandfather to 7 Great-grandchildren. Brother of Karen (John) Schmidt. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Margaret, sister Eileen, brothers Lorne and Ollie (Dorothy). Remembered by in-laws Mel, Eleanor, Ross, Diane and many nieces and nephews.
Wib worked at J.M. Schneiders for 43 years, he started in the shipping department and finished as a truck driver. Wib was very active throughout his life. From coaching his son’s hockey team to playing all different types of sports. His favourite spot was at his cottage on Gould Lake where many happy memories where made.
Wilbert’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 – 3:45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467) on Saturday, August 24, 2019. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to The Lung Association or charity of your choice.
