Thomas James Friel

THOMAS FRIEL
(1951-2019)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas James Friel of the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. Tom died on August 13, 2019 in the CNP Hospital in Blairmore but was blessed with 67 years of an amazing life.
Tom was born on December 30, 1951 in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan to loving parents, Phyllis and Thomas Sr. He was raised with an appreciation for the outdoors and to enjoy life. He moved to the Crowsnest Pass in 1974 and made it his home. He enjoyed the hunting and fishing and spent many an hour on the local golf course.
Tom was a charismatic and social man who made many loyal friends and won the hearts of a few cherished and lovely ladies. He often made us laugh, he occasionally made us frustrated, but he always made us remember him with love. May he find peace and happiness in eternal paradise. … until we meet again, my friend.
He is survived by his siblings, Charlie (Krista) Friel, Ed (Gizella) Friel, Anna May Dumelie and Margo Friel; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and his very special and cherished lady, Cheryl.
He was predeceased by his parents, Phyllis & Tom Sr.; his brother, Arthur; his former common-law spouse, Patty Schaap; and his precious son, Michael Anthony Friel.
No funeral services will be held. Donations in memory of the late Thomas Friel may be directed to the charity of your choice.
