Mrs. Sylvia Jacques, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, in Chatham, at the age of 82.
Sylvia was born in Kitchener, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Burwell Lloyd and Sadie Mae (Davis) Catton.
Beloved wife of the late Marshall (Satch) Jacques (1984).
Loving mother of Marc (Margo) Jacques, Bryan (Becky) Jacques and Scott (Keltie) Jacques.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Ryan (Hillary), Lindsay (Christopher), Carly (Derek), Taryn, Daniel, Gregory and her great grandchildren Aubrey, Maeve and Everett.
Kind sister and sister-in-law of Douglas (Beverly) Catton, Virginia Foulon, Jean (Jim) Schaffer and Andrea VanLanduyt.
Predeceased by her brother Eugene, her sisters-in-law Martha, Yvonne and Margaret and her brothers-in-law Joe, Salavair “Vet” and Valare.
Sylvia was a dedicated volunteer with the Girl Guides of Canada for most of her life and worked for the Wallaceburg Library for many years.
The late Sylvia Jacques rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following her wishes, cremation will take place.
Interment of ashes in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
