Sophie George (nee Dromersky)
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 23, 2019 at 92 years of age. Devoted wife of the late Jerry (2007) for 64 years. Loving mother of Carol Howarth (Terry), Pat Thorpe (Gerry) and Don (Gisele). Proud grandmother of Kelly, Sara, Brent; Brandon, Scott; Jeremy, Jessica and Zachary. Dear great grandmother of Derek, Neil, Austin, Kyle, Janie, Bella, Neave, Mya, Leah, Adam, Scarlett, Kaitlyn, Calvin, Xavier and Anderson. She is predeceased by 11 siblings. Sophie will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was a passionate gardener and an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Sophie was a faithful parishioner of St. Aidan’s Church. A special thank you to the caring and dedicated staff at Heron Terrace, Birds View Lane neighbourhood, Dr. V. Maraj and staff and the many caregivers from Community Agencies.
