Peacefully at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville on Friday, August 23, 2019. Ruth McDonald (nee Silverthorne), beloved wife of Dennis McDonald and the late Joseph R. Mellen (1985). Loving mother of Brian and Linda (Heather and Dan, Jeff and Ashley), Joe and Carole (Michelle, the late Joey) and Paul and Gertie (Jennifer and Chris). Stepmother of Cynthia and Karl (Alyssa and Christopher, Matthew) and Chandra and Patrick (Kevin and Robert). Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Ernie, Roy, Fred and Nettie. Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wainfleet BIC, 53007 Perry Road (corner of Highway #3 and Perry Road), Wainfleet, Ontario on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11 am. Interment Zion Cemetery, Wainfleet.
