John Rusinko of South Surrey, BC passed away peacefully with his wife Loretta at his side after an afternoon with his son Lee and daughter Jill and other family members chatting about many memories that they have shared with John.
John was born the New Years Baby in Princeton BC, and grew up in New Westminster where he excelled in baseball and other sports.
John joined Canadian Pacific Airlines in 1959 and held Station Management and Director positions in northern BC, Vancouver and Edmonton. In 1988 he joined Wardair in Vancouver as a Director, Western Region where he remained until Wardair was sold. He then worked as Airport Manager with AirBC, until he retired in 1995.
John and Loretta spent 30 years together after reconnecting in Vancouver the same time John joined Wardair. They built their home in South Surrey, enjoyed golf (which he taught her) and traveling to visit families.
John is survived by children Jill Jokai (Rob) Megan, son Lee(Jill) Chloe, Ava and John, sister Mary Martineau, stepdaughter Kristin Dinsmore (John) Alexia,Thomas,Daniela and Andrew.
At John’s request there will be a private family funeral.
