Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we the family of the late Roy Hubert Bowdridge announces his sudden passing at his residence in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at the age of 51 years. Roy was the son of the late Chesley Bowdridge.
He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his loving mother Eva (nee Harvey) Bowdridge (Ossie Francis); partner Judy Coley and her daughter Nakita Kendall all of Port aux Basques, NL; son Shannon Piercey of Halifax, NS; brother Robert (Eileen) Bowdridge of Stephenville, NL; sisters Darlene (Brian) LeRiche of Port aux Basques, NL, Sheila (Alex) Lomond of Lantz, NS, Thelma Bowdridge of Deer Lake, NL and June Marshall of Toronto, ON. Roy also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews plus a large circle of friends and awesome co-workers.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, August 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. (Downtown Location). In keeping with Roy’s wishes, cremation will follow. The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 9th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by the Rev. Deacon Jane Allen. Inurnment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roy can be made to the family.
