Obituary of Ronald David Miller
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ronald David Miller announce his passing on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on June 10, 1925, he was a son of the late Charles and Viola (Currie) Miller.
Ron was a loyal employee of Baxter Dairies having worked as a truck driver/supervisor for over forty years. He loved to square dance, gardening and country music. He especially enjoyed his trips to Florida during the winter months. Most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family especially his cherished grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his sons, Gary Miller (Yolande) of Kingston and Brian Miller of Saint John; daughter, Brenda James (Bill) of Saint John; grandchildren, Wayne, Melissa, Ryan, David and Nichole; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Pearidyze, Glendan, Nervaughna and Aston; second wife, Mary Seely Miller; step-children, Ralph, Norman, Gary, Glen, Brian and Kathy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy; brothers, Russell and Arnold; stepson, Greg.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John NB (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed immediately by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM all from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in Ron’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.
