WENCEL, Ronald “Ron” Leslie – After a courageous battle with cancer, Ron passed away on Sunday August 25, 2019 in his 72nd year in Woodstock, originally born in Wayne, Michigan. Beloved husband to Pat (nee Carter) Riness – Wencel. Father of Shaun, Seth (Amanda), Jeremy (Marlena), Ben (Laura), Adam (Natalie), Luke (Ang), Matthew (Emily) Abigail Cook (Bryan), Sharayah, father-in-law to Cheryl and step-father to Jennie Riness and Trevor Riness. Grandfather to 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Dear brother to Holly Loya (Andy) and survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Jean Wencel and special grandfather William Harry Huff (Agnes). Ron served as a Pastor for 27 years. He worked with special needs children and adults. He loved hunting and fishing. He had a kind heart and a strong faith in his Lord and Saviour. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday August 29, 2019 from 2:30 – 4:30 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at Innerkip Presbyterian Church (I.P.C.), 64 Blandford St, Innerkip on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery.
