It is with great sadness that we announce Richard suddenly passed away at the young age of 85. Pre-deceased by his loving wife Jacqueline, he will be deeply missed by his son Scott (Cheri). After coming to Canada in the 1950’s Richard built a new life for him and his family with his Duchess Jacqueline by his side for over 63 years. A proud Canadian and a man of faith, he was kind, generous and a strong character who supported both his family and community without question. A long-time manager at National Steel Car, he was also a hard worker who always stepped up to provide for his children. At the request of the family, cremation has taken place and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Society of Canada would be appreciated.
Dad, you’re with your Duchess. Until we see you both again, we love you.
