Regina Kiss Janko 1918 2019

1918 2019
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Regina Kiss, formerly of King Street , Delhi , passed away peacefully at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Thursday, August 15, 2019 in her 102nd year. Former Regina Domokos. Beloved wife of the Late Lajos Kiss (1981). Loving daughter of the Late Janko & Rozalia (Daco) Domokos. Cherished sister of the Late Vilma Laszlo of Romania and the Late Margit Gaal of Hungary . Regina immigrated to Canada in 1950 and came to the Delhi area in 1951. Regina was a hard worker, generous and loved by many. A dedicated & faithful Member of both the St. Ladislaus, Roman Catholic Hungarian Church and the Delhi Tobacco District Hungarian House and their Ladies Societies. She was known all over Southern Ontario for her canning of pickles & peppers, as well as her ‘csiga’ noodle making, which she made for her countless friends & customers over the decades. Because of the wonderful care givers over the years; Ethel Balogh, Irene Lengyel, Mary Jane Kekes, Helen Besenyodi and Margaret Bognar, Regina was able to stay in her own home until the age of 97. Since then, Norview has been her home. There are not enough words of thanks & appreciation that can be given to the staff & personnel that have cared for her in the past four years. “You are exceptional”. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and for Parish Prayers said at 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Courtland. Donations to the Delhi Hungarian Hall Wheelchair Fund will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
