Raymond “Ray” William Giesler, of RR 3 Walkerton passed away on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at the Hanover & District Hospital at the age of 89.
Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Eidt). Loving father of John (Linda) of Greenock, Joe (Pat) of Walkerton, Mike (Carolyn) of RR 3 Hanover, Dianne Major (Brian) of Arthur, Lori Schmidt (Rod Pegg) of Kitchener, Dave (Jan) of Walkerton, Paula Riley (Steve) of Teeswater and Nick (Sheryl) of Everett. Lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as by his sister Maryanne Strauss of Ottawa.
Ray was predeceased by his two great-grandson Steven Ottewell and Justin Giesler; five brothers; three sisters and parents William and Helena (nee Grubb) Giesler.
Raymond’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton (1106 Yonge St. S). Parish prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 19th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow. Rev. Luc Payette officiating.
Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mary Immaculate Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home.
