Obituary of Pamela Anne Lyons
LYONS, Pamela Anne (nee Morden)
January 21, 1956 – August 12, 2019
Passed away peacefully at her home with her husband by her side after a long fight with cancer. Cherished wife of David Lyons for 29 years. Loved and missed by her parents Richard and Roberta Morden of Belleville, her brother Christopher Morden (Diane) and her aunts Carolyn Milliken (Ted), Sylvia Buskard, Sandra Porter and Pat Denison (Jim). Predeceased by her beloved border collie Piper. Lover of animals, lover of words, family historian, geneology researcher, writer, teacher, master of the arts of cooking, knitting, sewing, and delighted in spoiling nieces Hilary Morden (Ben Deloume), Corinne Morden and Andrea Morden (Kaiyang Wang). Experience gained through a range of positions in the insurance industry allowed Pamela to become an author and illustrator of insurance and data management textbooks and training materials for Canadian and American clients. One of her most satisfying accomplishments was translating legalese insurance policy wordings into plain language. Among her travels Pamela sat among penguins in Antarctica, stroked the noses of Gray whales in Baja, and fell in love with Newfoundland. Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to L.A.W.S. or the University of Guelph Pet Trust and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
