McGILL, Gertrude Viola (nee Gibbs) – Age 86, peacefully surrounded by family, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Continuing Care, Petrolia. Beloved wife of the late Roy McGill (1990). Loving mother of Chuck (Jane) McGill, Ruth (John) McGill, the late Sam (Beth) McGill, Peter (Trudie) McGill, Victoria (Darryl) Strangway, Mary-Ellen (Jake) Smit, Jackie (Nick) McGill and Brian (Deb) Thompson. Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother Sonny Gibbs. Predeceased by her siblings Adda, Ester, Meg, Phyllis, Shirley and Fred. The family of Gert wish to extend a sincere “Thank-You” to Dr. Daniel and nurses at C.E.E. and Continuing Care, Petrolia.
Funeral Details
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Brigden on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 11:00 am.
