Mary Etsel Bigelow Trueman

Bigelow, Mary Etsel (nee Trueman) passed away with grace at age 90 on August 22, 2019. Mary enjoyed life in Hamilton with her husband Ralph and daughters Janet and Carol. She was a nurse and briefly worked at the Hamilton General Hospital. Mary was a devoted mother to Janet and husband Randy of Elora and Carol and husband Tim of Dallas Texas. She loved her grandchildren Kristen and husband Joseph, Meaghan and husband Bartosz, Corey and wife Jessica, Brianna and husband Ben and Alyssa and husband Gabriel. She was a great- grandmother to Lila, Ida, Alice, Joshua, Daniel and was expecting two more soon. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph in 2015. Mary and Ralph enjoyed travelling and spending summers at their cottage in Nova Scotia where they both grew up. Many weekends were spent at their cottage in Paris, Ontario and visiting with family and friends. Mary was an active member of Linden Park United Church in Hamilton where she had many friends. Highland Manor in Fergus became her second home and gave her a new life for the past four years. Thanks to all the staff that provided loving care. Mary was bright, active, funny and enjoyed a long, busy and happy life. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at 20 Station Square, Elora in the family room on September 8 at 3 pm.
