JAKAB, Magdolna – Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at McCormick Home, London, on Sunday August 18th, 2019 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Sandor Jakab and Janos Szoke. Loving mother of Sandor (Magdolna) Jakab of Romania, Madeline (Bob) Garton of Tillsonburg, Katalin (Bill) Wieler of British Columbia, Brenda(John) Margarite of Thunder Bay, John Szoke of Thunder Bay and Nicholas (Twyla) Szoke of Edmonton. Cherished grandmother of seven as well as her pride and joy, great-great granddaughter Faith. Dear sister of Janos Gajda and Dr. Iboia Tompa. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. Special friend of the Hendel family of Thunder Bay, ON. Predeceased by her son Julius (2007), granddaughter Magdolna Jakab and sister Maria Szilagyi . The family wish to extend a special thank you to Woodingford Lodge as well as McCormick Home in London for the excellent care received and to Dr. Derek Thi. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
