Shank, Léo (1939-2019)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leo Shank at the age of 80 after battling cancer at the West Nipissing General Hospital on August 21st 2019. Beloved husband of 52 years of Suzanne (née Robitaille). Loving father of Jo-Anne (Henry), Luc (Edleide) and Michel (Cindy). Missed by his grandchildren Roch, Dominique, Morgan, Monique, Nicholas, Alexandre and Genevieve. Dear brother of Claudette (Joe) Kress, Gilberte (Cletus) Gribbon, Jean-Claude (Suzanne), Monique (Don Oliver), Jacques (Sandra), Guy and Ernest. He was predeceased by his parents Ludger and Lucille (née Thibeault) and by his brothers Pierre, Rhéal and Remi as well as his sisters Viata and Lucette. Family will receive friends at Ste. Thérèse d’Avila church, Cache Bay, on Saturday August 31st 2019, after 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Cremation arrangements in care of Théoret Bourgeois funeral home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
