John Jack Keip

John “Jack” Keip, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving family, at Wingham Hospital on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. He was born and raised on the 12th Concession of Culross, where he farmed for 39 years. He enjoyed retirement in Formosa for 27 years. Long-time member of St. Joseph’s Aid Society.
Survived by his wife and soul mate of 67 years, Verna (nee Kupferschmidt); his son Wayne Keip (Audrey); daughters Carol Henhoeffer (Bruce), Jan Poechman (Wayne) and Sharon Murdoch (Dave). He will be missed by his grandchildren Jason, Craig, Scott, Brent, Julie, Heather, Shawna and Megan; greatgrandchildren Samantha and Jackson as well as step-greatgrandchildren Gabriel, Saphryn and Atlas. Also survived by his sister Madeline Durrer and in-laws Jim Durrer (Marlene), Rita Keip and Merv Kupferschmidt (Mary).
Jack was predeceased by his daughter Karen in infancy, siblings Gertrude Heaney (Joe), Hilda Schumacher (Jim), Lorene Keip (Dorothy), Vera Reist (Lloyd), Joe Keip, Dorothy Durrer, Mary Keip; brother-in-law Harold Durrer, and his parents George and Ottila (nee Voisin) Keip.
There will be no visitation and family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:00 at Immaculate Conception Church, Formosa. Fr. Jason Kuntz officiating.
Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Formosa
