Jean was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist church, serving God in her special and helpful way. Putting on “fancy” church teas was one of her favourite things to do. She also taught Sunday school and looked after the flowers for the church for many years. Jean was a wonderful seamstress and made her daughters beautiful dresses for special occasions, including making the wedding gowns for two of her daughters and all the bridesmaids dresses for three of her daughters. Her family was her pride and joy especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean was many things to many people, a great friend, listener, organizer, party thrower, Brownie leader, holiday decorator and baker. Her passions included gardening, memorizing poetry (which she could recite to the very end) and keeping up with current events. Jean was kind, loving, generous and had a wonderful sense of humour. She will be greatly missed.
