Suddenly entered into rest at the Wedgewood Retirement Residence, Brockville on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019. Ira Wager died at the age of 88. He was the son of the late Wilmot & Isabella Wager (nee Luck) and loving husband to the late Dorothy (nee Warriner). Ira was the dearest father of Deborah Lynn Kirkham (William) of Peterborough, Patricia Marie Reynolds (Joe) of Qualicum Beach, BC, Michael (Bonnie) of Brockville, Steven (Charlene) of Ajax and Thomas (Kim) of Shannonville. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Cory Kirkham, Trevor Rolfe, Marina, Logan and Meaghan Wager and by his great-grandchildren Anthony Rolfe, Madison & Skylar Wager. Ira is predeceased by his sister Lillian Jamieson and by his brother Keith Wager. He is survived by his many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Ira’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588). A private family Graveside Service will take place at the Belleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
