Howard’s Obituary
ILLSLEY, Howard Willis ~ Age 96, of Dempsey Corner, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. He was a son of the late Harry S. and Laliah E. (Thorpe) Illsley, being born in Coldbrook, and later moving to Dempsey Corner with his parents. Howard bought his parents farm on April 25, 1944 and farmed for many years. Surviving are his nieces, Ruth (Gordon) Nelson, and Linda (Gary) Cameron; great nephews, Kevin (Kim) Nelson, Brad (Sara) Cameron; great nieces, Kelly (Brent) Chamberlain, Karen (Craig) Bowes; great-great nephews, James (Bella) Langille, Carl and Nick Bowes and Logan Cameron; great-great nieces, Alxys (Tyler) Chamberlain and Brooklyn Cameron. Besides his parents, Howard was predeceased by his wife the former Nellie E. Adams; sister, Mabel (Robert) Woodworth; brothers, George (Kay), Earl (Shirley) and Harry (Evelyn) Illsley; and two very special people in Howard’s life, Norman Steadman and Muriel Eldridge. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A service in celebration of Howard’s life will take place at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, August 6, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Chaplain Chris Wickens officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will be in Aylesford Union Cemetery.
