Obituary of Hilda Schwanz
Schwanz, Hilda Alma – passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the age of 102 years.
Hilda Schwanz (nee Kruschenske) of Pembroke, wife of the late Leonard Schwanz. Mother of Marilyn Parent (late Severn), Pembroke; Wayne Schwantz (June), Grafton; and Donna Schroeder (Harris), Pembroke. Grandmother of Tammy Stewart (Chris); Robert Schroeder (Heather); and Dwayne Schwantz (Amanda), Brian, Joanne (Marty) & Gayle. Great-grandmother of Ryan, Madison & Mackenzie; Rebecca & Julie; Jared, Jayden, Jordyn & Emmett; Kim (Joe), Matthew (Wendy) & Amy (Corey); and Dena, Krissy & Eden. Loved by 3 great-great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Frederick & Mary Kruschenske (nee Gahr). Predeceased by sisters Minnie Reckzin, Annie Hammel, Mary Nieman & Lillian Silke and brothers Bill, Henry, Herb, David, Ferdinand, John, Lorne and infant brothers August & Otto Kruschenske. Hilda is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 6-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Petawawa. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa or Miramichi Lodge Foundation would be appreciated.
