Gerald Caines
1940-2019
At the Grand Falls General Hospital, August 26, 2019, Mr.
Gerald Caines of Sisson Ridge passed away at the age of 78 years.
He was the husband of Pearl (Hall) Caines. Born at
Glace Bay, NS in 1940, he was a son of the late John ”Jack” and
Lillian (Spencer) Caines.
He is survived by his wife, two children, Gerri Everett
(Marty) of Moncton and John Caines of Toronto, two grandchildren,
Jessica Caines and Connor DeMerchant, two brothers, Winston (Patricia)
of Sydney, NS and John (Sharon) of Sarnia, ON, brother-in-law, Al
Taylor of Kitchener, ON, nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his sister, Harriett Taylor.
Resting at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Plaster
Rock with visiting hours on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, August 29th at 11
a.m. from the church with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating.
Interment will follow in the adjoining
cemetery.
For those who wish, donations to the St. Thomas Aquinas
Church or the Mama Bear Cancer Fund would be appreciated by the
family.
