Obituary for Elizabeth Anne Austin
December 16, 1940 – August 4, 2019
On August 4th, 2019 we said goodbye to our beloved Mother, Life Partner, Grandmother, and friend. Mom passed peacefully surrounded by family, and in loving care at Langley Memorial Hospital in Langley British Columbia.
She struggled long and hard to stay with us as long as she could. The last two years with her were truly a gift. But it was time for her to rest and join her loved ones in the heavens. She will forever be our Guardian Angel, the sweet whisper in our ear, and the warm sunshine that kisses our cheeks.
She leaves a legacy of love and strength that lies in each and every person lucky to have known her. A cherished friend, a caring Aunt, beloved sister, gentle loving Grandmother, dedicated wife, and wonderful Mother. To the world she was love, she was kind, she was strength, and she was joy.
She will live on through all of us, all of you who come here to honour her through your memories and stories we all share of this incredible Earth Angel. The pain in our hearts is testament to we loved her, and how much we were loved. She radiated it. Keep her tucked in your heart, and smile when you think of her.
Her wishes were not to have a big service; “no fuss” is what she said. She was just that kind of person, always giving; she lived to make people happy. So to honour her in the best way we can think of, we will have an intimate celebration of her life. She loved family picnics in the park, so we will sit in the sunshine, share stories, and any that you wish to share with us, smiling and laughing remembering all that she was. Date to be determined.
