She married Ed La Marche on September 29, 1947 and they had three children, Muriel, Lucille, and Phyllis. Until her eyesight got too weak, she always had several different handcrafts on the go from embroidery to crocheting. She was very active in the United Church of Canada at local, presbytery and provincial levels for many years. She was active in the Legion Auxiliary as long as it existed at the local branch.
