Obituary of Donna Marlin Chassé
DONNA MARLIN CHASSÉ
(nee DASH)
Surrounded by the love of her family, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, August 16, 2019 at age 82.
Donna was predeceased by her beloved husband Camil Chassé in 2016, after 60 years of marriage. Dear mother of John (Alix), Jeff (Cindy), and Tim (Carolynn). Cherished nana to Keenan (Becca), Cooper (Carlee), Cameron, Danielle, Luke and Sam; great-grandma to Lily; ‘mom’ to Suzanne Chassé and David Doiron; and ‘Mrs. Chassé’, spinner of tales and storyteller to the children at Mitchell’s Corners Public School. Predeceased by her brothers Dalton, Douglas, and Delmer, and sisters Elaine and Aldene, Donna will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank-you to staff and friends at Chartwell Centennial Residence, for all your care and support, and to ‘Cookie’, who made her meals.
Friends and family may visit at the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday August 29, 2019 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment at the Zion Cemetery. Charitable donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Lakeridge Health Foundation (Durham Regional Cancer Centre) will be greatly appreciated.
