Obituary of Chris Harrington
Chris Harrington died August 16, 2019 at 1:20 a.m. in Quesnel, BC, surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Pam and his father, Bernard.
He is survived by his wife, Dayle Campbell, daughter, Jessica, her husband Matthew and their children, Owen and Maeli, his son, Matt, his mother, Margaret, sister Nancy, her husband, Allan and their children, Eli, David and his wife Jackie.
Chris was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, October 14, 1955. His life took him across Canada from Manitoba, the Northwest Territories and Alberta, but he knew he was home when he found the Cariboo.
Next to his family, he loved the outdoors the most. He was passionate about hunting, fishing and archery and won his last archery tournament in February, 2019. Many knew him as a dedicated 4H leader, bowler, musician and bread/pie maker. He loved his friends and the social life he had at “work”. Deer camp with friends meant so much. His latest projects included woodworking and tying flys for his grandson.
Chris will be greatly missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Chris’ memory by way of donation may do so to the Quesnel and District Hospice Palliative Care Association.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 15th from 2-5pm at the Occidental in Quesnel.
It will be an appetizer and dessert potluck. Please bring your musical instruments and memories, as we celebrate Chris’ life.
