Chilton, Carmel Julie (O’Reilly, nee Golka):
Passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Forest Heights Long Term Care at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Chilton.
Loving mother of Mary (Larry) Mank of Kitchener, Mike O’Reilly of Kitchener, Bev (Harm) Medema of Kitchener, Dennis O’Reilly of Guelph, and Patrick (the late Cheri) O’Reilly of Innerkip.
Step mother of the late Judy (John) Wilson of Kitchener.
Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Dear sister of Mary.
Predeceased by her first husband, Frank O’Reilly and her siblings, Virginia, Ann, John, Loretta, Ray and Sally.
Carmel was a longtime member of St. Anne’s RC Church. She volunteered with Bibles for Missions and sewed countless quilts to warm hearts for many worldwide.
Carmel’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 with a memorial service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Private interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
