C Evans Harper 2019

C. Evans Harper
December 21, 1953 – August 15, 2019

The passing of Evans Harper, husband of Susan (Fox) Harper, of Douglas, NB, occurred on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.
Born on December 21, 1953 in Newcastle, NB, he was a son of Shirley (Evans) Harper and the late Sterling Harper. After graduation from UNB, Evans worked throughout New Brunswick as a forester, and later worked for the Province of NB.
In August 2012 Evans retired, and traveled throughout the US and all of Canada driving many miles with his wife Sue.
No matter how many miles traveled, he was always glad to return to NB and get back out on the river fishing with “the boys” at the camp.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Matthew Harper of Vancouver; and brother, James (Connie) Harper, Calgary.
Sue would like to offer a special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the palliative care unit and Extramural, for all the kind and compassionate care Evans received over the last several months.
Friends and family are welcomed to attend
a gathering at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 2-4 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
