Obituary of Bonita Ann Berge
Bonita Ann Berge passed away peacefully at Parkview Palliative Care Hospital in London, Ontario after a very short battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, August 18th, 2019. She was surrounded by family and friends on her last weeks and days. Bonita Berge-Nesdahl resided in London after living many years in Rodney and Lambeth where her and her husband Dennis had hobby farms. The first child of Harold and Angela Berge (nee Haley), born in Owen Sound she was a gifted woman who took her talents onto St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing and then obtained her BSN and Master’s Degree from the University of Redlands in California. Bonita was an R.N. serving many years at Stanford University Hospital as the Head ICU Nurse and then moved from CA to ON where she was an area manager with the LIHN and finished her career at Four Counties where she eventually retired and served on the advisory committee for Four Counties Health Services. Bonita was the wife of Dennis Nesdahl. Loving mother of Daniel Nesdahl and Michael (Melissa) Nesdahl of Minnesota. Loving Nana of Brooke and Brenna. Also survived by brothers Tom Berge, Dan Berge (Cynthia), Alan Berge (Christiane), and sisters Caroline Dancel and Carda Berge. Many in-laws and nieces and nephews. She enjoyed volunteering, golfing, leading exercise classes and spending time with family and friends. A private service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Dennis. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the Canadian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association as an expression of sympathy.
