WALRAVEN, Wilhelmus Franciscus “Bill” (1927 – 2019) – passed away at the John Noble Home, Brantford on Friday, August 16th, 2019 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Therese Walraven (nee Van Esch) of Brantford. Loving father of Frances Richardson (Don) of Brantford, Margaret Walraven-Richards (John) of Regina, Paul Walraven (Rosemary) of Timmins, and the late Michael (1999). Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Jennifer), Scott, Eric (Manon), Jeff (Alexandra), Jonathan (Jill), Jordan (Fashia), Marcus (Emily), Sarah & Chris. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Hanny Walraven and Bep Evers (John), both of Holland. Bill will be sadly missed by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & extended family. Predeceased by siblings Corrie Bergmans, Laurent, Chris, Jan & Theo Walraven. Bill was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bill was deeply committed to his family and community and lived a life of laughter, love & generosity. He inspired many people. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bill with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel following visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Al Dufraimont officiating. Interment: Port Dover Cemetery. Those wishing to donate in memory of Bill are asked to consider the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
