Obituary of Bernadette Marie Gray
Gray, Bernadette Marie (nee Ritcey)
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Bernadette at the Copper Terrace Nursing Home on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the age of 93.
Bernadette was born in Riverport, NS, on December 9, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helena (nee Millard) Ritcey. She was a longtime resident of Chatham and formerly of Merlin.
Beloved wife of the late Garnet “Bev” Gray (1998).
Cherished mother of Diane and her husband Burton Morrison of Chatham, Mary Anne and her husband Dave Mitchell of London, Michele and her husband Scott Hankins of Uxbridge and Barry Gray and his wife Johna of Hamilton.
Loving grandmother of Greg (Julie), Jeff (Laura), Lianne, Sarah (Jesse), Adam, Ben, Mackenzie, and Emmalynn and great grandmother of Tyler, Tessa, Jill, Kylie, Devin, Isabella and Penelope.
Dear sister-in-law of Rosemarie Ritcey of Chatham.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister Mildred Steadman and brothers, Gerald, Charles and Doug Ritcey.
The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Wednesday August 21, 2019 from 11:30-1 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will follow at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Street, Chatham, ON at 1:30 p.m.
Cremation to follow with interment in Merlin Cemetery at a later date.
