Arnold’s Obituary
DOUCETTE, Arnold James – age 71, Treasured Memories Senior’s Residence, Yarmouth, formerly of Quinan, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the home. Born September 17, 1947 in Quinan, he was a son of the late Leander and Betty (Wagner) Doucette. Arnold worked at Alwood Products for more than 20 years, after which he worked at Nova’s Finest Fisheries until his retirement. In his spare time he loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed line dancing and square dancing. He is survived by a step-son, Daniel (Kerry) Muise, Yarmouth as well as by a step-daughter, Tammy Muise, Halifax; step-grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan, Kayla, Jacey; step-great grandchildren, Isabella, Parker, Aubrey and Maxwell; brothers, Daniel Doucette, Freeman (Anne) Doucette, both of Quinan; Larry (Jan) Doucette, South Ohio; David Doucette, Yarmouth; a sister, Carolann Challoner, Quinan, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 14 at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m., Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Saint Agnes Parish Cemetery, Quinan. Memorial donations may be made to Treasured Memories Senior’s Residence or to a charity of your choice.
