Anna Maria Keough

Anna Maria Keough
May 14, 1936 – August 23, 2019

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our loving mother Anna Maria Keough who passed away in St. John’s on Friday, August 23. Anna was born in Cape Broyle and in January 1958 married James Andrew Keough from Calvert. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many. Anna Keough was truly a woman of indomitable spirit. She was an inspiring beacon of hard work and determination for all of us. Even in her later years as her health declined, she remained a tremendously resilient person both in body and mind, always ready with loving, helpful words and a warm smile for her family.
She is survived by 8 children and 9 grandchildren: Maxine and caregiver Diane Roberts, Noel (Linda Grandinetti) and daughter Joanna; Renée (Sean Penney) and son Nicolas Keough; Karl (Darlene Finn) and daughter Maria; Glenn (Susan Pollett) and daughters Ceara and Bronwyn; Karen (Bob Richard) and sons Eric and Daniel; Gemma (John Noseworthy) and sons Christopher and Andrew, and Francine (Ed O’Keefe – sons Isaac, Zachary, Joshua and Kyle); her sisters Virginia Jones (Don) and Monica Browne, and brother Andrew O’Brien (Dot Rossiter), plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mom joins her beloved husband, James Andrew Keough, who left us in 2004, and her parents John and Angela, brothers Pius and Philip, and brother-in-law Cas Browne.
We welcome those who wish to pay their respects and celebrate her life at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Sunday, August 25, 7 – 9 PM, and Monday, August 26, 2 – 9 PM. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 27 at 2:30 p.m. from Mary Queen of the World, Topsail Rd. Mount Pearl. Interment will follow on Wednesday August 28 at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ferryland. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Vera Perlin Society.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Anna Maria Keough..
