Obituary of Andy Van Yken
The Lord called unto Himself, His servant Andrew Van Yken, from the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville on Sunday, August 25, 2019, in his 84th year. Andrew was the beloved husband of Tina for 62 years. Loving father of Ron (Rachel) Van Yken, Julie (Ken) Hoeksema, Hank Van Yken, the late Gerald (Anne) Van Yken, Wendy (Todd) Hines and Susan (Mike) Watson. Dear grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Gijs (Riek) Van Yken, the late Cor (Jane) Van Yken, Bill (Jannie) Van Yken, Henk (Ineke) Van Yken, the late Betsy Van Yken and the late Jannie Van Yken. Our father was a God-fearing, loving man known for his selfless donations of his craftsmanship to his family and church. He loved nature, animals and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a joy and he will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to call at the BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Following a private family graveside and committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville, the Memorial Service for Andy will be held at Dunnville Canadian Reformed Church, 109 Inman Road, Dunnville on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 3 pm. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Friends are invited to send condolences to the family at www.ballardminorfh.ca
