1933-2019
Verna Elizabeth Davis – age 86, of Lakeville, formerly of
Liverpool, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late
Harold and Nellie (Craig) Slauenwhite. Verna had been employed with
Maple Leaf Poultry. She is survived by sons, Theodore
“Ted”, Lakeville; Wayne (Christine), Aldershot;
grandson, Keith Davis, Aldershot; great-granddaughter, Teigan;
son-in-law, Vern, Kentville; nieces, nephews and extended family.
Verna will also be missed by her dogs, Suzie and Molly. She was the
last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by
her husband, Armand “Skip”; daughter, Patricia
Brannen; granddaughter, Danielle; sisters, Marion Benjamin, Helen
Hatt; brother, Reverend Clyde Slauenwhite and fiancée,
Arnold MacLellan. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday,
July 31, 2019, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A
graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019
in the Seaside Cemetery, Brooklyn, Queens County, Reverend Gary
Slauenwhite officiating. Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes
Canada. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
