1926-2019
Ruth Louise O’Blenes, 93 of Salisbury passed away
Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Boundary Creek, she was the daughter of
the late Bertram and Mary (Lounsbury) Wortman. Ruth was a
homemaker, a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church and the Riverview
Senior Bowling League and she enjoyed knitting, reading and
cooking. She was a very dedicated wife, mother and
grandmother.
She is survived and sadly missed by her daughters
Linda Mullins (Ron) of Berry Mills, Gwendolyn Killam (Stewart) of
Lewis Mountain, Janice MacCallum (Luther) of Colpitts Settlement,
Vicki Keating (Terry) of Salisbury and Jeanne Mulford (David) of
Sus Corner; brother-in-law Warren McKnight of Fredericton; thirteen
grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
her husband Evan; grandson Casey MacLeod; sister Joan McKnight and
brother Edward Wortman (Beth).
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106
(372-4800) with visiting Tuesday, July 2 from 6 to 8 pm and from where
the funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at 3 pm with Pastor John
Tremblett officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Hill
Cemetery.
If desired, donations to the Salisbury Baptist
Church Building Fund or Pine Hill Cemetery would be appreciated by the
family.
