KNORR, Rosenna Anne
October 29th, 1929 – July 3rd, 2019
On July 3rd, 2019 Rosena Knorr passed away at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her 3 sons Roger (Bernice), Gary (Lois), Chris (Lori) and her 2 daughters Anna Marie and Bernadett (Gord), 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Michael, parents Mat and Edna, brothers Clem and Earl and her sister Edna. Rosena who was born in 1929 in Saskatoon, SK was the oldest of four children. She was raised in the White Eagle District of Sask. She met the Love of her Life Michael Knorr and they were married April 1949 in Port Alberni, BC. They then moved to Westlock in 1965 make it their permanent home. She loved her garden and helping on the farm. Her love for horses was great. She talked a lot about old rock who was used to help plant garden when she was a young girl growing up. If there was a dance anywhere you could bet she would be there. Country music was a great love. Her favorites were Roy Acuff and Merle Haggard. She always wanted to see Roy Acuff, well she was lucky enough to see him two times. Rosena found her strength in her religion and being of a member in the Catholic Women’s League. Her family were very important to her. Prayer Service will be held on Friday, July 12th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church as well as a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m . with interment in the church cemetery. Donations gratefully accepted to the Society of the Little Flower or charity of one’s choice c/o 10004 -105 Street, Westlock, AB T7P 1V2.
