Peacefully at her home, on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Jan ‘John’ Panhuis (2002). Gezina came to Canada in 1955 as a new bride, and dedicated her life to raising her family. Loving mother of Johanna Fowler-Panhuis (Lorne) of London, Janette Panhuis (Len Brautigam) of Georgetown, Irene Goossens (Harold) of London, and Alex Panhuis (Andrea) of London. Adored Oma of Carly Fowler (Amerigo), Aaron and Zachary Brautigam, Amanda and Harry Goossens (Kelsey), and Christian and Nicholas Panhuis. Sadly missed by sisters, brothers, and sister-in-law: Cobie, Jannie, Appie, Be and Seintje of the Netherlands. Predeceased by sister and brothers: Fritz, Teunis, Han and Dini. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gezina are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
