NELLIE CHUBKO
(nee MACHINSKI)
February 9, 1924 – July 27, 2019
It is with sadness we announce the passing of our sister and auntie Nellie Chubko on July 27, 2019.
She was predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Titania Machinski, her husband John Chubko in May 1994, brother Mike and sisters-in-law Elizabeth and Liz Machinski, and niece Shirley Tillett.
She leaves to mourn brother Emil, niece Louise Machinski, Kathy Selby (Mike), nephew Ron (Sharon) Russell, Theodosius, Peter (Carmen) Machinski and their families.
In their 50 years of marriage their life was centred around their family and Blessed Virgin Mary Church. After John’s passing, Nellie moved to Holy Family Towers for 21 years of retirement.
Thank you to all family and friends for the help over the years.
Prayers will be said on Thursday, August 1, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary church, 965 Boyd Avenue.
A special thank you to the Sisters at Holy Family, and all the staff for their care and compassion.
