Peacefully at Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care in London, on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Gwendolyn “Gwen” (Cowell) for 60 years. Missed by his daughters, Barbara Stewart and Susan Foster (Alan); and daughter-in-law, Helen McAuley. Proud grandfather of six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters, Norma Bonis (David), Shirley Law, and brother, David (Donna). Predeceased by his son, John Raymond McAuley; sisters, Marion, Hazel, Pauline, Florence, and Fran; and his brother, Paul. Floyd was the owner of Moore Tool & Motor Service in London for over 41 years. The family would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to the staff of the 1st floor at St. Mary’s Long Term Care for their care and compassion. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Floyd are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middle or Childcan.
