Mary Millar 2019

July 23, 1929 – July 11, 2019
With sad hearts the family of Mary Millar wishes to announce her passing peacefully at the age of nearly 90 at Talarico Place in Castlegar, BC. Mary was born in Hazel Dell, Saskatchewan and moved to Copper Mt., BC in 1941. She met Mervyn Millar and together they raised four children, Andy (Gail), Brian (Carol), Penny (Keith) and Terry who predeceased her in 2014.
Mary was an avid seamstress, quilter, gardener, crafter and she was a fabulous cook and baker. She made the best bread and cinnamon rolls in the world.
Mary will be dearly missed by her loving husband Mervyn, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sister and many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank all the wonderful nurses, Dr. Merritt and all the staff at Talarico Place.
A service will be held at a later date at Valley View in Surrey, BC.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Talarico Place or Alzheimer’s Society at alzheimer.ca/en/bc/Get-involved/Ways-to-donate .
