Tiffin, Marcella (Marj)
With sadness and gratitude we announce the peaceful passing of Marcella (Marj) Tiffin on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Devoted wife of the late Charles Tiffin and unwavering mother of Les Tiffin (Laura Lee DeYoung) and Laura Love, grandmother to Stephanie Tiffin (Alex McPherson), and Tucker, Abby, Cooper and Emma Love. Dearly missed by her loving siblings, Evelyn Botham, Anne Brin (Leonard), Pat Ackerman, Marlene Pulak (Gene), and Janet Putnam (Grant). Predeceased; her parents George and Magdalena Volk of Denzil Saskatchewan, her siblings Sister Evelyn “Pauline” Volk, Joe Volk, Sister Beatrice Volk, Mary Glatt, Albert Volk, and her sisters and brothers in-law Elenor Lahn, Helen Volk, Jack Botham, Lawrence Glatt and Joe Ackerman will be waiting for her with open arms. Fondly remembered by her many nieces nephews. Marj graduated from the Nursing School at Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. She worked at the Lachine Hospital in Quebec until moving to Kingston where she continued her dedication to nursing at the Hotel Dieu Hospital and later with the VON until her retirement. Funeral service to be held in the chapel at James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd.) on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2:30 pm. Reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the VON would be appreciated.
