Lorenne J. (Johnston) Gowan of St. Stephen, NB, wife of the late James (Jim) Gowan passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Tower Hill, in 1931, daughter of the late Melvin and Rose (Lord) Johnston, Lorenne was a self-employed hairdresser for many years. Survived by her sons Allen (Elaine) Gowan of St. Stephen, Jamie (Roselle) Gowan of Fredericton, and Richard (Cindy) Gowan of Rothesay, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sisters, Helena Tibbs and Jackie Daly, as well as, nieces, and nephews.
Lorenne was also predeceased by her daughter Darlene (Wayne) Carson, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral service will be held at Christ Church, Prince William Street, St. Stephen, NB on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11 am with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place immediately after the reception at the Lower Elmsville Historical Cemetery, Elmsville N.B.
