It is with great sadness that
the family of the late CECIL
BARNES of Fortune announces his passing at the
Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on Friday, July 26th,
at the age of 67. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving
memories are wife Geraldine of 47 years; sons, Derrick (Jeanne) of
Marystown, Darren (Lisa) of Fortune, Douglas (Heather) of Brooks, AB;
daughter, Tonya Marshall (Craig) of Brooks, AB; sisters-in-law,
Dorothy Rogers, Winnie Barnes, Eileen Barnes, Donna Ayers;
brothers-in-law, Derrick Ayers (Daphne), Boyd Keeping; special cousin,
Harold Barnes; 6 grandchildren; Kaylee, Kortney, Christian, Ian,
Logan, Daven; plus a large circle of extended family and
friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilson &
Rita Barnes; infant sister, Rosie; brothers, Allan, Frank, John;
parents-in-law, Harry & Edna Ayers; sisters-in-law, Phyllis
Keeping, Maureen Keeping.
The Barnes Family will be accepting
visitors at the All Saints Church Chapel in Fortune on Sunday, July
28th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and Monday, July 29th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
& 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at the All
Saints Anglican Church on Tuesday, July 30th at 11:00am. Interment to
follow at the All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery,
Fortune.
In
Cecil’s memory, donations may be made to the family
or flowers gratefully accepted.
